Trix Commercial

The rabbit in the Trix commercial represents a nerd in society because of the way he acts and dresses. The lady in the mall asks a question and like a common nerd he’s the first one to raise his hand and he tries extremely hard to answer the question. He also dresses "nerdy", with the black glasses and blue and orange-stripped shirt, which is really nerdy. He also knows what he wants and doesn't listen to her when she tries to convince the other kids to buy her product. The lady in the mall looks extremely happy, but she dresses weird, she’s wearing a green jacket with a pink bow tie. She represents someone with extreme power and thinks that she can get the kids to do whatever it is she wants, in this case is buy her company's cereal. In society the kids just look like normal kids gathering around something that’s happening at a mall and being curious and wanting to try something new. They are also young and can be influenced very easily, if the lady tells them her cereal is good they of course will want to try it.

The message that is being transmitted based on these representations is that the spoke person is the representing a business that has control over their consumers, but the trix rabbit is smarter then the business and knows what he wants. The kids on the other hand are stupid and are convinced to buy the businesses product. The overall message of this commercial is that businesses have control over their consumers and use it to their advantage to get consumers to buy more of their product. They use media to influence society and convince them that their product is the best out there.

Definition of Meaning.

What the word meaning means to me is self expression of your opionon and views. Everything has it's own meaning and its the way you view it personally that makes it meaningful. Everyone has their own personal views on what the meaning of something is, but it's what you think that really affects the way you think and believe. Meaning is your personal interpertation of languauge and images that surround you in everyday life. Meaning is how you put life into context. Meaning is about thinking about things the way you want to and believing in what you think about it. Symbolism, acceptions,expression of self, answers, purpose and insights help define what my personal definion of meaning is.

connected or random?

I believe that everything that happens in the world is connected somehow. I don't believe that luck only happens to some people, I believe that you have to wait for something to happen and if it doesn’t happen to you, but it happens to someone else that doesn’t mean anything, it just means it’s not your turn. I also believe that people who seem to want things a lot more then other people tend to not get what they want as fast. They of course will think that luck and good things will only come to richer and luckier people , but really all you have to do is work hard and not really think about what you want the most and soon enough you'll get it. Growing up I’ve always believed in fate and that everything happens for a reason. I also believe in God and how he made everything the way it is for a reason, I don’t think he wanted everyone to be the same and have the same job and everything. Some people do have a bad life, I don’t believe god gave them that certain path, I believe that he gave everyone a good future, but its up to the person to determine how they want to make it. Example; a homeless person. They weren’t always homeless, they could always try to find new jobs and go to shelters. People don’t need to make everything a big deal, just have a bit of faith and believe in what you’re doing and sooner or later, things will change.
